Jeep's future product plan includes new compact SUVs, and eventually, a new Grand Cherokee--likely even a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with a Hellcat powertrain.
It could also include a Jeep Renegade Trackhawk, if reports from JeepTrackhawkForums prove correct.
While it hasn't been confirmed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the source suggests the Renegade Trackhawk has been approved, and that it will arrive by the 2018 model year.
The possible performance Renegade might be powered by a twin-turbocharged, 2.4-liter four-cylinder delivering at least 300 horsepower. All-wheel drive would be a necessity to move that power to the ground, but it's uncertain which FCA transmission could cope with the power.
We reached out to a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] spokesperson regarding the Jeep Renegade Trackhawk and were told: "We don't comment on future products."
